Know Your Legislator: Marsha Looper
Marsha Looper is 47 years old, a self-described “all my life” Republican from Eastern El Paso County who is best known for helping to lead the battle against the so-called Super Slab private toll road. The road, which was slated to carve through rural Colorado from east of Fort Collins to east of Pueblo, initially would have afforded the private developer to seize property along the route using eminent domain.
Looper is enthusiastic, energetic, and, according to her campaign website, “excels in everything she does!” In addition, “Marsha cares about what YOU care about…transportation, water, illegal immigration and protecting our private property rights!”Married with three children, running for House District 19 was Looper’s first bid for public office
