The announcement went on to note that:

Our Democratic majority is the largest, the most diverse, and one of the most talented in decades.  Our members cover nearly every corner of the state.  They boast a broad range of experience in both the public and private sectors. They will make our Capitol a wellspring of fresh ideas and intelligent debate.

The House leadership announced today the diverse make up of the Democratic members of the committees of reference. For example, the Transportation and Energy Committee will include Democrats from rural and urban, as well as city and suburban, sectors of the state. Health and Human Services will be served by lawmakers who have been health care professionals and one who is an 18-year cancer survivor. They will arrive with different pictures of the current health care system.
