The Republican National Committee (RNC) released its first anti-health care reform ad this week. The ad is being released as the White House celebrates the two-year anniversary of the law’s passage.

Members of the Obama administration have been traveling the country this week to explain the progress and changes the law has made to health care in the U.S. Polls have shown that even though the law is largely unpopular, Americans tend to change their views once they learn what is actually in the law.

U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius made a stop at a community health center in Miami this week, touting its efect on women’s health.

The RNC’s ads are set to be shown in states Obama is expected to visit to tout the health care law’s successes.

The 41-second ad, released yesterday, features a bill with the word “Obamacare” featured prominently on it, weeping throughout different monuments in Washington, DC. According to the ad, the bill is weeping because it is unpopular and “even Obama won’t celebrate [its] birthday.”

In a few days, the Supreme Court will begin hearing a legal challenge to the health care reform law. The state of Florida is currently leading that challenge and state officials have been among the most outspoken critics of the law.
