Ritter Inaugural Party to Crisscross State
Gov. Ritter will be ready for a vacation in the Bahamas after his inaugural trip around the state. This past weekend he took a whistle-stop train ride from Greeley to Pueblo. This weekend, Jan 19-21 Ritter will be bopping around by plane from the Eastern Plains to the Western Slope. So far his entourage has been greeted by snow and cold and the prospect of a balmy weekend in the east and west is probably not in the forecast. At least the welcoming crowds have been warm.
Friday Jan. 19
Noon: Gov. Ritter departs Denver for a 12-county fly-around of the state. Additional details are forthcoming. Friday stops include: Sterling, Burlington, La Junta and Trinidad.
Saturday, Jan. 20
Fly-around visits continue with stops in Alamosa, Durango, Steamboat Springs, Rifle, Montrose and Grand Junction.
Sunday, Jan. 21
Fly-around visits continue with stops in Eagle and Centennial.
