If you’re feeling depressed about the state of American politics, you’re not alone. According to a new National Journal poll, President Obama has slipped to 38 percent approval, from 52 percent just after he was elected. Of course, he can’t begin to compete with Congress, which has an approval rating of 9. As in less than 10.
Of course it could get worse. Nearly three-fourths expect there to be another government shutdown.
