Wiretap: The mom pay gap is real
The gender pay gap is one thing. The motherhood pay gap is even worse, Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner writes in Politico. She cites studies showing moms with equal resumes are hired far less often than women without children and at significantly lower pay. Dads, meanwhile, are offered more money than non-dads. Wage discrimination, she writes, is real, and it particularly affects women with children and women of color.
