The new, sick (in a good way), pro-Obamacare ad from Arkansas

The news from Arkansas – yes, Arkansas — may show a major shift in Democratic strategy on Obamacare.

Sen. Mark Pryor, a Democratic incumbent who faces a major challenge this November, has a new ad out actually praising the Affordable Care Act instead of running away from it. And this, in ultra-conservative Arkansas. You can bet that Mark Udall, in not-so-conservative Colorado, has already seen it.

Here’s the ad. Pryor had cancer and talks with his dad about cancer and insurance companies and why he pushed for a law that doesn’t allow insurance companies to cancel on you when you get sick or deny you coverage if you have a pre-existing condition.

Will Udall follow? It’s a risk, of course. But it might be a bigger risk to allow Cory Gardner and outside allies to keep pounding him on the issue.
