Keefe: R.I.P. Kent Haruf

Kent Haruf was a novelist born in Pueblo who wrote poetically about life on the plains. His stories were set around Yuma, Colorado, which he called Holt. He died Sunday of lung disease. He was 71.

Longtime Denver Post staffer and winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning. His work has appeared in many of the nation's top news publications.
