Homebrew: GoFundMe pulls Twin Peaks’ funding campaign

GoFundMe, the crowdsourcing website, has put Twin Peaks Charter Academy’s fundraising campaign under review. The school’s principal had set up the fundraising page to raise money for anticipated legal fees to defend his decision to block the school’s valedictorian, Evan Young, from delivering his graduation address in which he planned to come out as gay, reports The Daily Camera.

Tomorrow Colorado Springs City Council will be deciding whether or not to censure Councilwoman Helen Collins for her attempts to help TABOR mastermind Douglas Bruce break the law. “Collins placed her friendship with (Bruce) above her duty of loyalty to the city and her ethical obligations, resulting in harm to the City’s interests,” stated a report from the Independent Ethics Commission.
