Presidential debate night with Mike Littwin

Tonight at 7 p.m. Mountain time, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will face off in the year’s second presidential debate.

Last time, when Trump’s biggest obstacle was his own stubborn lack of preparation, political columnist Mike Littwin teamed up with Colorado Libertarian Jon Caldara to live-blog the whole debate, right here at The Colorado Independent. They brought wit, jabs and plenty of boozy Ghostbusters banter. Thanks to all of you who tuned in.

But this time around, with a defiant Trump coming out of arguably the worst week a U.S. presidential candidate has ever had, we’re admitting to ourselves where most of you will really be: on Twitter, trying to keep up with the rapid-fire commentary.

Mike Littwin is joining in, live-tweeting the whole thing. Follow along as he embraces what has become the theme of this whole election: It’s deadly serious, but there will probably be some laughs anyway.

Check back here afterwards for a best-of Tweet roundup and post-debate analysis.

See you soon.
