The Red Tent: The Indy’s All-Women’s Dance Party

It has been a rough few months, and we at The Indy need to let off some steam.

Join us this Friday evening for a women-only dance party. We’re calling this shindig our “Red Tent.” It’s time to let our hair down, to join together, and to stomp.

The women on our staff will be there, as will many of the women we cover and our sisters, moms and friends, young and old. Bring your dancing shoes and your tribe, and please plan on making at least a $25 tax-deductible donation to our favorite non-profit news source. We need your support to produce our brand of independent, watchdog journalism and continue amplifying the voices of Coloradans who are most vulnerable at a time they most need it.

The party gets started at 8 p.m. at the Mercury Cafe in Denver, 2199 California St, 80205. If you have plans then, come later. We’ll have a terrific she-jay and will be making lots of noise.

Something tells us we all need this. Badly.

The Colorado Independent is a statewide online news source operating in a time when spin is plentiful, but factual, fair and unflinching news in the public interest is all too rare. Our award-winning team of veteran investigative and explanatory reporters and news columnists aims to amplify the voices of Coloradans whose stories are unheard, shine light on the relationships between people, power and policy, and hold public officials to account. We strive to report the news with context, social conscience, and soul, and to give Coloradans the insight they need to promote conversation, understanding and progress in this square, swing state we call home.
