Denver Newspaper Audience Strong, Report Shows

There are 1,491,000 people in the Rocky Mountain News weekly “integrated newspaper audience” and 1,446,000 in the Denver Post‘s, according to the 2007  Scarborough Newspaper Audience Ratings Report.

The report “provides ratings for print readership, website audience, and the integrated or total audience (print and online) for newspapers across the U.S.”The report found a weekly print audience for the News of 1,491,000, with an online readership of 149,000. The Post had a weekly print audience of 1,388,000, and website visitation of 192,000 a week.

The papers show very strong coverage of the market, both reaching more than 50 percent of the adults in the metro area. Newspapers in the comparably sized markets in Miami reach 40 percent of adults; and Orlando, 47 percent.
