Some political wags have been having a grand old time hashing over the notion that the state Democratic Party is considering holding its 2008 statewide convention in El Paso County – the legendary land o’ the elephants.
“I can’t think of anything more liberating than watching the liberals spending their money liberally in our conservative businesses,” Rep. Bill Cadman (R-Colorado Springs) was quoted saying in the Colorado Springs Gazette. “Those businesses could then maybe afford to donate more money to us to fight the Democrats.”
Rep. Cadman is just one of many who may not realize that, actually, there are almost as many Democrats living in El Paso County as there are in Boulder. And –
