Timeline of Secretary of State Controversy

The Colorado State Auditor’s office has launched an investigation into the secretary of state’s office and one of its employees, Dan Kopelman. Kopelman, who worked in the Elections Division until he was recently reassigned, was found to be operating a company and Web site offering to sell voter data to Republicans. The audit is looking at whether Kopelman had access to voter registration information, whether he actually sold any voter data and how much Secretary of State Mike Coffman knew about Kopelman’s side business.
