Denver PrideFest This Weekend
The 32nd Annual PrideFest will be held at Civic Center Park in Denver this Saturday and Sunday in celebration of GLBT community and culture. Saturday is family field day at Veterans’/Lincoln Park at 14th Ave. and Broadway. The day features a kids’ parade, family activities and family-friendly music. Sunday will begin with the always-colorful Pride Parade led by the 2007 Grand Marshals, the Denver City Council. According to organizers:
For over 30 years, the Denver City Council, often through the courageous stand of one or two members, has made the City and County of Denver one of the Rocky Mountain Region’s most welcoming places for LGBT residents, employers, and workers.
The day will continue with entertainment on multiple stages, vendor booths and activities. Visit the PrideFest Web site for more information.
