National Democratic Convention Opportunities
Do you own a business and would like to “cash in” on the Democratic National Convention next August? Have you thought about being a volunteer to help the thousands of Democratic visitors and media to Denver next year?
The answers to your questions are below….The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) is taking its show on the road. Today it is kicking off its first of many community meetings at the Walnut Foundry at 11 am in Denver where DNCC CEO Leah Daughtry and Denver Mayor John Hickelooper will be discussing business opportunities and addressing questions concerning next year’s Democratic Convention.
The DNCC series of “Convention Conversations: A Traveling Forum” will also be presented in other locales across the state and Rocky Mountain Region to provide a way to share ideas about how businesses can plug into the convention and convey how people can get more involved. For more info contact email@example.com or (720) DNC-2008.
The Denver Host Committee, which is separate from the DNCC, is still recruiting for the 7,000 to 10,000 volunteers that will be needed to help host the convention. Your duties could range from stapling political signs on sticks to guiding travelers from one meeting to the next. To sign up go here or here.
