Democratic Convention Officials Take to the Sky

    Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Howard Dean and Democratic National Convention CEO Leah D. Daughtry will be flying in and out of Denver for convention business this week.On Wednesday, Jan. 9, in Las Vegas, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will join Daughtry for the first “Convention Conversations” forum outside of Colorado. They will also review information about the Democratic presidential caucus scheduled for Jan. 19.

    PhotobucketDaughtry will fly back to Denver on 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, to meet up with Dean for a special project at Manual High School — a service project coordinated by the Colorado branch of Volunteers of America. Besides helping paint and plaster a school room, Dean and the Democratic National Convention Committee gang will join students for a crafts project in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

    On Friday, Dean and Daughtry will present convention updates to the DNCC executive committee at the Hyatt Regency Denver at 10:30 a.m. with guest speaker, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper.
