Staples Tacks Its Support onto the Convention

    “Hey, that was easy….” In the dreams of the Denver 2008 Convention Host Committee members, they hope convention events will go well and now, they will have some help from office-product supplier Staples.PhotobucketStaples got the nod as the official supplier for the Denver 2008 Convention Host Committee, providing office supplies, furniture, equipment and other goods and services needed for the upcoming Democratic convention, Aug. 25-28.

    Surely a few of the famous “Easy” buttons will be included in the mix.

    “Supporting the Denver Host Committee helps Staples showcase our wide range of environmentally-friendly products and services,” said Mark Buckley, vice president of environmental affairs at Staples. “We are thrilled to collaborate with the committee to make the 2008 convention the greenest to date.”

    Staples will provide the host committee and convention attendees “green” office products and environmentally-friendly copy and print services as part of its support.

    “This sponsorship continues to demonstrate how important the Democratic National Convention is for Denver,” noted Elbra Wedgeworth, President/Chair of the Denver Host Committee.
