From Super Bowl to Denver: Putting on a Good Show

What does the Democratic National Convention have in common with the Olympics and Madonna?

The stage and podium production team, which also will help design the overall look of the convention, are veterans of the Super Bowl half-time shows, Madonna and Rolling Stones rock concerts, and major movie premieres, including the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series.

Ricky Kirshner, executive producer for the convention, announced that Bruce Rodgers, production designer, Lisa Geers, line producer, Bob Dickinson, lighting designer and Pat Baltzell, audio designer, will be in charge of executing the convention program.
Photobucket“From Olympic Games to Super Bowls and everything in between, this team has done it all,” Kirshner said. “They are true veterans of the stage and screen, and we’re fortunate to have them on board.”

The only question remains: can they figure out how to release the balloons on time?
