How to promote “conservative women leaders”? You make a glam calendar of conservative women leaders, of course. At least that’s an approach the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute has stuck with for the last five years. The 2010 edition models include big-name camera-ready conservo-women like Colorado’s own pit bull blogger Michelle Malkin and anti-gay marriage beauty queen Carrie Prejean. Leaders!
Minnesota anti-census crusader and wrist-slitting blood-sister Michele Bachmann made the shoot, as did lanky Ann Coulter, her long blonde tresses on prominent display of course in her month’s photo. All of the portraits were taken in tasteful black and white. All of the women leaders appear in white shirts. Why? Dunno. There’s also a good-times behind-the-scenes montage video!
The Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute or “home of the Luce ladies” was founded to take the message into the heart of liberal country: the nation’s dirty stinky hippie universities.
“It’s about time we counter the left on campus… While women’s studies departments praise the work of radical feminists, they somehow consistently overlook history-making achievements of leaders like UN ambassador Jean Kirkpatrick or British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher or even U.S. ambassador Clare Boothe Luce. We work with college students… It’s often the case that throughout four-years of college, many students never hear a conservative position articulated, and so we work with those students to help them bring that to their college campuses.”

How did the Clare Boothies assign the women leaders each to a month? Were there preferences? Are they tied to book releases? Political campaign or reelection schedules? How come there are only eleven women pictured at the website? Inquiring minds want to know.
Which prominent conservative woman leader doesn’t appear? You know who, that governor-lady-turned-lightning-book-author, the “quitta from Wasilla,” Sarah Palin. But the Luce ladies still support her.
