McCain in Colorado on Monday
Back-channel rumors floating around Colorado political circles today indicate Republican presidential candidate John McCain will most definitely be in Colorado on Monday.
The Colorado Independent has confirmed McCain’s impending Colorado visit through staffers on his campaign, but has so far been unable to nail down additional details, including where the Arizona senator will be, how many events are scheduled or whether the public will be invited.
McCain’s Colorado stop underscores just how much of a battleground the Centennial state is becoming this presidential election year — and comes days after Democratic contender Barack Obama spent a day in Colorado Springs, where he delivered a speech underscoring the need for public service, and held a fundraiser.
Stay tuned for details on Monday’s McCain stopover.…
