Feminist discussion in Denver tonight

Most mainstream media coverage of the feminist movement today centers around whether feminism is still truly relevant. Bitch magazine, on the other hand, operates under the assumption that yes, indeed, it is. And the publication’s commentary on pop culture and politics is all the richer for it. Tonight, join Bitch publisher Debbie Rasmussen in Denver as she hashes out questions that will further deepen the feminist discussion, like "How can we collectively create an independent feminist media-justice movement that doesn’t rely on white supremacy, class privilege and economic exploitation?"

Rasmussen will be hosting a discussion at IronFeather Book and Zine shop from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening. The shop is located at 4931 W. 38th Avenue in Denver. Call 720-628-0097 for more.
