When it comes to Western states battling over resources, it seems like jobs are the new water. As our sister site New Mexico Independent notes, Hewlett-Packard’s plans to set up a new call center in Rio Rancho, N.M., will come at a cost to Colorado: The 800 employees at HP’s Colorado Springs facility are being told to move to New Mexico or they’ll lose their jobs.
