Chicago’s 100 most likely political appointments?

Sometimes you have to ask yourself just how close your friends are.

President George W. Bush’s former press secretary Scott McClellan testified before Congress today that Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney told him to lie about the Valerie Plame leak.

When elected president, Bush appointed many oil executives in Houston and political friends in Austin to key federal positions. As governor, his chief of staff in Texas, Karl Rove, became one of the most powerful Republican strategists once in the White House.

Wondering what kind of political appointments from Chicago might be made if Sen. Barack Obama is elected?

Although it’s hard to play the guessing game, Muckety.com has done a good job of highlighting the 100 most influential people in the Windy City.

Not surprisingly, both Obama and his wife Michelle are on the list.
