Blowing it: McCain and Obama swept up in copycat TV ads.
Just when you thought John McCain and Barack Obama would never agree on anything, they come to a consensus on energy policy — well, their commercials do anyway.
Alert YouTuber Verne Carlson noticed that both McCain and Obama used the same stock footage in their commercials.
“I thought I was imagining things but when you watch both McCains and Obama’s latest political ads you will notice they used exactly the same WindFarm stock footage!” wrote Verne in his post.
And all this time I thought there were separate but equal wind-farms flying red and blue flags over the windswept plains.
Let’s hope our homegrown politicians, namely Mark Udall and Bob Schaffer, can dig a bit deeper when looking for images of clean energy production.
