Rosa to discuss media myths, misinformation on immigration
The Colorado Independent’s Erin Rosa will take part Thursday in a Colorado Media Matters panel discussion on the perpetuation of myths, unchecked extremist rhetoric and other tools of misinformation that influence public opinion on immigration. Rosa writes on migrant workers, labor and legislative issues on work and poverty.
Joining Rosa will be Polly Baca, former Colorado state senator and president/CEO of the Latin American Research and Service Agency; Lisa Duran, executive director of Rights for All People, a grassroots immigrants rights organization; and Chris Fresquez, publisher and president/CEO of the weekly bilingual newspaper, El Semanario.
