Michelle Obama barnstorms for cash, Morgan Carroll reaches out to working women

State Rep. Morgan Carroll, D-Aurora, is hooking up with the Barack Obama camp today in Aurora for a brown-bag lunch and panel discussion on the travails that working women face.

Everyone is welcome. The event is scheduled the same day the Democratic presidential candidate’s wife, Michelle Obama, is scheduled to make a separate, more private, Colorado appearance.

The round-table discussion and lunch will take place between 12:15 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Community College of Aurora, 16000 East CenterTech Parkway, in the Rotunda Room of the student center. Those planning to attend are asked to R.S.V.P. by e-mail to jstutsman@barackobama.com or call (702) 308-4718.

In a much more exclusive appearance, late this afternoon Michelle Obama is scheduled to attend a fund-raising event for her husband’s campaign at the Grand Hyatt Denver in downtown Denver.

Tickets to the general reception are $1,000, and tickets to the VIP reception with Michelle Obama are $10,000, according to the Obama campaign Web site.
