WATCH: Ryan Frazier ad pitches him as the anti-Obama
Aurora City Council Member at Large Ryan Frazier is the top GOP candidate looking to unseat CD7 Congressman Ed Perlmutter. Viewers could be forgiven for not putting that together based on Frazier’s new slick video campaign ad, which targets Pres. Obama pretty much exclusively and talks about bringing in “new ideas,” by which Frazier means fiscal conservative Republican ideas.
Frazier has been an impressive fundraiser and looks to be starting to spend some of that money. And he will have to keep on spending. Perlmutter, in addition to being a well-liked Democrat in a fairly safe district, is an even better fundraiser and is presently sitting on roughly something like $1.5 million.
Frazier last year initially announced he was running for the U.S. Senate, looking to unseat Michael Bennet. After former Lt Gov. Jane Norton announced she would be running for Senate, Frazier shifted to the CD7 race.
