Poll: Perlmutter Leading Among Independents
A new Denver Post/Mason-Dixon poll shows Democrat Ed Perlmutter with a six-point lead over Republican Rick O’Donnell. Although the lead is significantly smaller than the 17-point and 11-point leads shown in recent polls, Perlmutter is still ahead among independent voters. Winning the unaffiliated vote is the ticket in a district evenly split between Democrats and Republicans. Perlmutter leads O’Donnell among independent voters 39 to 31 percent. Overall, the poll shows the Dem at 45 percent and O’Donnell at 39 percent.
