Ed Perlmutter is getting some big names behind him in his bid for Congressional District 7. Last week, his campaign announced former President Bill Clinton will headline a Perlmutter event Nov. 1, with Ken and John Salazar, Diana DeGette and Mark Udall also in attendance. Today, the campaign announced Sen. Barack Obama will hold a fundraiser and rally for Perlmutter next week. How much will the events net for a campaign that has already broken fundraising records? According to the most recent financial records, Perlmutter has less cash on hand than his opponent, Rick O’Donnell, and could use the help of national Dems.
