Denver Clerk and Recorder Resigns
The Rocky Mountain News has just reported that Denver Clerk and Recorder Wayne Vaden the appointed member of the three member Denver Election Commission has resigned, effective December 31, or upon the appointment of his replacement.
Mayor Hickenlooper has accepted the resignation, praising Vaden’s performance in non-election related areas, and his willingness to accept responsibility. The resignation follows massive problems in the management of the November 7, 2006 election in Denver, and a history of election commission missteps.
