Perlmutter hosting job fair this morning

Anybody out there need a job today? Congressman Ed Perlmutter is hosting a job fair this morning from 9 am until noon at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

“We recognize that people in our area want to work and need to work, and we know of companies that are hiring today to fill real jobs. Maybe at this fair a company can find the right person with the right skills and make that connection,” said Leslie Oliver, spokesperson for Perlmutter.

She said previous job fairs hosted by Perlmutter have been successful in getting people placed in jobs. This is the third job fair he has held in the last 18 months, during which time he has also held a number of boot camp type events, where people get help with resume writing and other job finding skills.

More than 20 businesses will be at today’s fair, including Aurora Public Schools, CoBank, Comcast, Denver Water, DeVry University, Enterprise Rental Cars, Google, Home Depot, Isle Casino Hotel, Jefferson County, Kaiser Permanente, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Denver Green Jobs Initiative, Raytheon and RTD.

The event is at Exhibit Hall 15200 West 6th Avenue, Golden, CO 80401. For more information, call Perlmutter’s office at 303-274-7944.
