According to the Rocky Mountain News, Aurora Fire Chief Casey Jones retired Friday in the wake of a growing investigation of allegations made by assistant city attorney Rob Werking in his blog that the fire chief was having an affair with Werking’s wife.
Rob Werking was fired and his wife was reassigned away from the fire department. . . . The investigation into Julie Werking will continue . . .She allegedly misused city time by playing golf with Jones and accepting a BlackBerry he bought her with city funds.
