Marilyn Musgrave (R-4) successfully attached to the federal Commerce and Justice spending bill is mysteriously absent from the Senate version approved today by a Senate subcommittee.

There was no vote on the trigger-lock issue; it is simply not part of the Senate bill approved today by the Senate Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations Subcommittee, according to Jenny Manley, a committee spokesperson.

The full Appropriations committee hearing is on Thursday. After that, it will be up to a committee of House and Senate members to resolve discrepancies between the two chambers’ versions.
