The Los Angeles Times says that Colorado’s illegal immigration measures are a sign that momentum in the immigration debate favors the hard-liners. But Speaker of the House Andrew Romanoff told the Times that the Colorado measures were a practical compromise. “We were not railroaded into passing anything that betrayed our principles,” he said.
