According to a local right wing blog, there is going to be an event tomorrow morning dealing in some way with gubernatorial candidate Bill Ritter and a fatal car accident from almost twenty years ago. But so far, no one is stepping up to confirm the information. From Red State, a national conservative blog:
In 1988, Mr. Ritter and his family lived in Zambia as lay missionaries for the Catholic Church. Mr. Ritter’s wife was a Peace Corp volunteer. According to a report from Zambian lawyers obtained by RedState, in 1988, Mr. Ritter killed a man named Mushibi Katiki Chinyama.
The Beauprez campaign has denied knowledge of any event set for tomorrow, and it is unknown whether there is any truth to the local blog’s claim that opponents of Bill Ritter will be showcasing Mrs. Zhita Ngumbu Chinyama, the reported widow of the man killed in the car accident.
But if there is a meeting tomorrow featuring the widow, it does raise questions as to who’s sponsoring it and just how exactly the widow’s traveling arrangements were taken care of.
