Western Slope Local Election Results and Ritter

Here’s a synopsis of local race results from the Western Slope. What is interesting, in some counties five local Republican officials could be (re)elected and still, Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Bill Ritter could grab close to 50% or more of the voter support. What did Republican candidate Bob Beauprez say or do to make Western Slope Republicans and Republican leaning Unaffiliated to shun him? No doubt, that phenomenon will employ a couple of political strategists until the 2008 election. The information below is divided by area on the Western Slope; the Democratic number is listed first to the Republicans elected to the top five positions which include commissioner/clerk/treasurer/assessor/sheriff; last figure is the percent of voters captured by Bill Ritter.
