Friday’s Vetoes and Signatures

Facing a Monday deadline, Gov. Bill Ritter has put his John Hancock onto a slew of new laws, including a package of bills aimed at “stemming Colorado’s rising tide of residential-property foreclosures and mortgage fraud.”

He has also vetoed five bills, including one that would have made it easier to obtain a drivers’ license or state-issued identification, and another that would have allowed some people to have their criminal records sealed.
