Comparison of SCHIP Reauthorization Bills

The State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), which provides health coverage for more than 56,000 low-income children and 1,200 pregnant women in Colorado, will expire Sept. 30 unless it is reauthorized by lawmakers in Washington. Note: Eligibility for SCHIP varies widely across states. In Colorado, most children and pregnant women under 200% of the federal poverty level (about $41,000 for a family of four) are eligible.
