Smarting over a recent New York Times travel piece describing Colorado Springs as Holy Roller Central, the publisher of The Colorado Springs Business Journal has smacked back — arguing in an open letter that the community is practically a city of heathens. The dustup started last week, when the Times Travel section published a flattering story about the neighboring town Manitou Springs, which was characterized as a sort of hippie Mayberry:
