While a diverse group of protesters is expected to demonstrate at the Democratic National Convention in Denver this August, a least one anarchist group has published a rough draft for five days of disruption and civil disobedience during the event.Unconventional Action, a network of anarchists and other anti-authoritarians, recently released a schedule of events supporting a specific social justice issue for each day of the convention.
For instance, on Sunday, Aug. 24, activists plan an “anti-war and occupation day,” which is expected to include a march and “reclamation of space somewhere in the city,” according to a blog set up for the event
Other days include:
Monday, Aug. 25: Free Political Prisoners/Human Rights Day
Tuesday, Aug. 26: Environmental Issues/ No Global Warming Day
Wednesday, Aug. 27: No Borders Day
Thursday, Aug. 28: End Racism/Imperialism Day
Protesters say they are also planning to print and distribute a newspaper during the Democratic and Republican conventions.
