Obama, McCain and media get street art make-over

(Illustration/Scot Lefavor)Denver artist Scot Lefavor is taking his political message to the street, pasting paper political images on buildings around town.

He’s a Barack Obama fan. Why?

"That’s the obvious choice, I think," Lefavor said. "[Obama] is literally the poster boy for change and progress in our country. It is like night and day with our two chosen presidential candidates."

Lefavor recently showed his work at andenken gallery in north Denver, but also put up these three political posters on a wall outside and across from the gallery, near the corner of Larimer and 29th streets, depicting a hip-looking Obama, the media as vultures and Republican candidate John McCain as the Grim Reaper.

Not everyone seems to be a fan of his art’s message. Someone has added a mustache to Obama’s image.
