Women, sexism and politics discussion tonight

2008 has seen an unprecedented amount of sexism in politics. Hillary Clinton nutcracker toys and attacks on the presidential candidate’s "cackle" are just a few instances that come to mind. And though the Clinton candidacy is over, the discourse on women, sexism and politics is just beginning.

Tonight, JustTalk!, a women’s discussion group, is hosting a Denver conversation at the Chambers Center for the Advancement of Women at 1901 E. Asbury Avenue, Room 350.

The event, which starts at 6:30 PM, will feature a panel discussion hosted by state Rep. Alice Borodkin, CU Regent candidate AJ Clemmons, Westminster City Councilor Faith Winter, and Denver Woman Magazine’s Judy Taylor.

Admission costs $10, including wine and chocolate, and all proceeds benefit The White House Project, an organization devoted to electing women.
