People reports Barack Obama plans to make an appearance on the season premiere of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, hosted by Olympic medalist Michael Phelps tomorrow night.
It will be Obama’s second appearance on the show. He surprised the audience last October, appearing as himself crashing a costume party thrown by Hillary Clinton, impersonated by Amy Poehler.
“I have nothing to hide,” he said in the skit. “I enjoy being myself. I’m not going to change who I am just because it’s Halloween.”
John McCain appeared in two memorable skits on SNL’s season finale in May, including a strange sketch that urged voters to pick a president who was “very, very, very old.” He also crashed Weekend Update, urging Democrats to take as long as they needed to decide the nomination. McCain also hosted the show in 2002.
Both candidates have been making the rounds on popular TV shows this week, with Obama chatting with David Letterman Wednesday night and McCain — well, chatting might not be the right word — visiting with the ladies on The View this morning.
