TVNewser reports that Newshour co-host Gwen Ifill fell and broke her ankle at home while prepping for the vice presidential debate.
We’re told Ifill had been walking up a staircase, carrying research related to her moderating duties at Thursday’s Vice Presidential debate in St. Louis, when she took a wrong step.
We are also told the show will go on: Ifill is planning to travel to Missouri for the big event.
There appears to be no truth to the rumor that Sarah Palin is hurling herself in front of charging moose outside Wasilla in hopes of sustaining injury to avoid attending the widely anticipated debate. In other news, Joe Biden has been ordered by the Obama campaign to encase himself in bubble wrap as a pre-game protective measure.
