Spokesman says Tancredo can win even if Maes stays in race

Today, a staff member on the Tancredo for Governor campaign told The Colorado Independent that American Constitution Party candidate Tom Tancredo would win the race even if Republican nominee Dan Maes stayed in the race until the end.

“I feel like we are gong to get this done,” said communications director Leo Jankowski. “We are going to win this thing. I don’t think anyone is going to drop out and I don’t think anyone has to drop out for us to win it.”

Asked what made Democratic nominee John Hickenlooper so vulnerable that a conservative could win in a three-way race that pits two conservatives against a Democrat, he acknowledged that he didn’t have the answer.
