Bennet named top education activist by Time Magazine

Senator Michael Bennet this week was named one of the nation’s top education activists by Time Magazine.

The magazine opined that if any important education legislation or reform comes out of Washington this year, Bennet, former superintendent of Denver Public Schools, is likely to be in the middle of it.

The article says Bennet “is tight” with President Obama and has credibility with moderates in both parties.

Bennet is slated to discuss education on CNN’s State of the Union program Sunday morning at 7 am.
