Paul Ryan’s newest budget is out. The only place it’s going is directly to the campaign trail, where, it turns out, Democrats are thrilled to see it. It has no chance to get through Congress, and probably won’t even come to a vote in the House, but it is the plainest statement on where the Republicans would take the country if they end up with control of the Senate and the House in November. Ryan’s budget would cut $5 trillion in spending over the decade. But it’s how it would get there that matters — with steep cuts to food stamps and Medicaid and the repeal of Obamacare.

The National Journal says the Ryan budget outlines the Republican fiscal dream. Democrats say it’s the Koch brothers’ dream.
Shock: Hobby Lobby’s retirement plan invests in — wait for it — companies that make emergency contraception and abortion drugs. Of course it does. Do you wonder if the Supreme Court will notice, or care? Via Mother Jones.
