Boulder voters endure lengthy waits

Boulder voters at the University of Colorado-Boulder voting center stood in line for nearly 2 1/2 hours all day.

“There are still several hundred people in line right now (at 6:30 p.m.),” said Steve Fenberg, director of New Era Colorado, a youth voter-registration organization. “We’re trying to keep everybody in line, and so far they’re staying.”

Lines were long at all voter centers throughout Boulder but were particularly long at CU, he said.

Fenberg blamed computer stalls in the Statewide Colorado Registration and Election system, which shut down at about 2 p.m. to reboot.
