Perlmutter Gets Gun Control Group Endorsement
Ed Perlmutter today got the endorsement of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence over Peggy Lamm for the CD-7 race. Typically the organization does not endorse primary candidates.
Sarah Brady, the gun control group’s co-founder, said that it was “disappointing” that Lamm did not answer the group’s candidate questionnaire.
In the Brady Campaign’s press release, Perlmutter said he supported renewal of the federal ban on assault weapons and that he wants to “ensure that Congress stops caving to the gun lobby and does the right thing to make our streets safer.”
